Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli does not belong to the National Super Alliance.

Atwoli said this on Wednesday, noting his endorsement of Nasa Principal Musalia Mudavadi as Luhya spokesman should not be misinterpreted to mean he is in the Opposition.

He

said he is a member of Kanu, which is a Jubilee Party affiliate.

The workers union boss responded to reports that Mudavadi said Nasa leader Raila Odinga betrayed the co-principals during his 'swearing-in' on January 30.

He said it is up to Mudavadi to fight his battles in the coalition.

"I cannot comment on such matters. All I know is that Mudavadi is the Luhya community spokesman. It is up to him to forge his way out in Nasa," he said.

"I cannot comment on matters of a coalition I am not affiliated to as everyone knows I belong to Kanu."

Earlier today, Mudavadi denied saying Raila betrayed them, noting he would never issue such remarks.

The Amani National Congress leader said all he did was explain events that led to the People's President's swearing-in at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

None of the NASA co-principals turned up to support Raila on that crucial day.

The others are Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper party, who was to become the People's Deputy President and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula who is Ford Kenya party chief.
