Instructor, trainee injured after crash-landing at Nairobi park

An instructor and a pilot trainee were injured on Thursday morning when they crash-landed within Nairobi National Park.

The incident occurred about a minute past 7am when the two left Wilson Airport for training sessions.

The Cessna 152 plane, registration number 5Y-BXP, belongs to 99 Flying School and is used for training.

It overturned in an open area after crash-landing.

Police who went to the scene did not immediately establish the cause of the accident.

The instructor and trainee were rushed to hospital.
