The nine Cabinet nominees vetted last week have been approved by the Committee on Appointments of the
National Assembly.
The decision was made by the Committee led by Speaker Justin Muturi during a retreat to
deliberate on the
vetting
report over the weekend.
The final report will be tabled in the National Assembly when the House resumes on Tuesday after a recess that started in December.

The nominees were grilled by the committee last week during the vetting hearings that took place on Thursday and Friday.
They include; Keriako Tobiko (Environment), Ukur Yattani (Labour), Monica Juma (Foreign Affairs), Margret Kobia (Youth).
Others are; Rashid Achesa (Sports),
Simon Chelugui(Water),
Farida Koroney
(Lands), John Munyes(Mining) and Peter Munya (East African Community).
Cabinet Secretaries who were retained in their current positions or reassigned new dockets did not to undergo a fresh vetting.
Only Jubilee MPs vetted the nominees after NASA, led by Majority leader John Mbadi, said they will not participate.
They say President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration is illegitimate and it would therefore not be proper to
participate in the vetting and approval of his appointees.
