The 12th edition of the annual Allan Bradly Memorial tournament will be held on

February 10-11 at Kamusinga High School, Bungoma. According to Kamusinga High School

games master, Dismas Mukachi, the event has attracted a large number of participants.
“We had a very successful event last year which has seen the number of participants increase and also we have added in some new disciplines.
“Both schools and some of the clubs that featured in last year’s event have confirmed participation with more teams from neighboring country expressing interest,” said Mukachi. Among the disciplines to be featured include—basketball, hockey, rugby, swimming, Lawn tennis, table tennis, badminton, soccer, and handball.
Kakamega High will defend their football title after they thrashed hosts Kamusinga 4-0, while Kimilili boys, who beat Toroso 26-18, will defend boys handball crown.
Kimilili head coach Gerald Juma has revealed that they are well prepared for the event and they intend to use it to gauge the new players.
“We look forward to the event and I believe it will give my players the much needed experience and exposure before we kick off our season.
“We expect a more competitive show compared to last year going by the large number of the participating teams,” asserted Juma. He singled out last year’s finalist Toroso and the national secondary schools handball champions Mukumu boys as their main threat. Kamusinga hockey team tactician Godfrey Muleyi was also confident of clinching the title after losing it to St. Anthony last year. Each team will have to pay Sh2000 as participation fee with the winners being rewarded by certificates, trophies and medals.
