WHO director general Tedros Adhamon is in Kenya for a day to discuss Universal Health Coverage with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The trip will focus on the progress of the health sector, Adhamon told journalists outside Afya House in Nairobi on Tuesday.
UHC is one of the four pillars of the president's last term in office.

"You all know how passionate I am about UHC. I want to see what the Kenyan government is doing to ensure it is achieved."
Earlier this month, WHO challenged countries to roll out Universal Health coverage to reduce the impoverishment associated with payment for health services.
The global agency’s primary role is to direct international health within the United Nations’ system. It leads partners in global health responses.
In a statement on its website, the organisation said 100 million people are still pushed into extreme poverty because of health expenses.
