Two brothers died on Tuesday after the motorcycle they were riding rammed into a trailer on Naivasha-Mai Mahiu road.

The teenagers were on their way to Longonot from Mai Mahiu trading centre when the accident occurred.

Witness Joseph Njoroge said they had been speeding when they hit the trailer that was on its way from Nairobi to Naivasha.

The accident near Governor’s camp caused a major traffic jam along the busy road. The lorry was extensively damaged.

Njoroge said:

“Last year we lost more than 10 boda boda operators and their passengers in similar accidents. It seems there is a problem in this area."

The resident said two relatives were killed days ago after their motorcycle crashed into a trailer on its way to Uganda.

Mai Mahiu OCS Ezra Sambu said investigations were launched.
