Thirdway Alliance of Kenya leader Ekuru Aukot and his team on Friday took the Punguza Mzigo campaigns to Nyeri county. Ekuru visited Mathira, Mukurwe-ini, Kieni and Othaya before proceeding to Meru county. Aukot said the referendum will help reduce government officials wages.
He said 416 MPs are too many for the taxpayer and there is no need of having the big number of MPs in Parliament. Aukot said the big number of MPs cost the taxpayers Sh36.8 billion per year and the referendum will help reduce the amount to Sh4 billion.
