DPP Noordin Haji directed the EACC to have the suspects arrested and taken to court. They will answer charges related to misuse
of funds and economic crimes.
In June, Kidero tried to block the EACC from probing.
He was aggrieved by a judgment that affirmed powers of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate claims he transferred public funds into his personal bank accounts.
The EACC has been fighting to investigate transactions in Kidero’s seven bank accounts that allegedly have Sh1 billion.
Kidero's arrest is among the high profile ones in the recent renewed anti-corruption
war by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On July 4,
Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong was arrested and later charged over Sh20m fraud allegations.
