Muthaura sworn in as KRA chairman, pledges to deliver

Former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura was on Monday sworn-in as chairman of the Kenya Revenue Authority.

The oath was administered by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Amadi.

Other members of the Kenya Revenue Authority Board of Directors were also sworn in during the event at the Supreme Court Building.

They are Charles Makori Omanga, Leonard Ithau, and Susan Mudhune.

Speaking at the forum, Amadi promised that the Judiciary will support the Board towards execution of its mandate.

While acknowledging the big responsibility ahead of the team, Muthaura promised that the Board will live up to the oath's specifics.

Muthaura, whose term will end in October 2019, replaced former Finance PS Edward Sambili.

Omanga was picked as a board member to replace Abdi Duale, who was picked to chair the Kenya Leather Development Council board.

In the changes, Evans Kakai, Constantine Kandie, and Rashid Ali ceased to be board members.
