Jubilee Party has tabled a list of MPs proposed as heads of parliamentary committees.

Lawmakers, however,

differed with President Uhuru Kenyatta over the appointment of members to the Parliamentary Service Commission.

They demanded freedom to independently elect candidates of their choice.

This was during the

parliamentary group meeting the President chaired at State House in Nairobi on Wednesday.

Nominees to the PSC included Senators Beth Mugo (Nominated) and Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho), Adan Keynan (Eldas MP) and Naomi Shaban (Taveta MP).

Among the proposed leaders are

Julius Melly from Tinderet (education),

Rachael Nyamai from Kitui South (land),

Sabina Chege from Murang'a (health) and

William Cheptumo from Baringo Central (justice and legal affairs).

Others include Bura's

Ali Wario (labour), Kieni's Kanini Kega (energy),

Paul Koinange from Kiambaa (security),

Katoo ole Metito from Kajiado South (defence) and

Ndaragua's Jeremiah Kioni (cohesion).

Also in the list are

David Pkosing of Pokot South (transport),

Joseph Limo of Kipkelion East (finance), Maara's Kareke Mbiuki (environment), Uasin Gishu woman representative

Gladys Sholei (delegated legislation) and Kimani Ichung'wa (budget).

Nominated Senator Beth Mugo, Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho), Adan Keynan (Eldas MP) and Naomi Shaban (Taveta MP) are the nominees to the Parliamentary Service Commission.
