Jubilee Party yesterday criticised the Supreme Court, saying it was giving NASA preferences in hearing cases.

Addressing a press conference at Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi, JP secretary general Raphael Tuju and a host of other party leaders questioned the rationale used by the court in deciding to hurriedly hear a NASA petition seeking to postpone today's election.

Tujusaid a case they had filed against NASA leader Raila Odinga on the matter of contempt of court was only certified as urgent but scheduled for hearing after the election.

"The Supreme Court was not able to find time to hear our case until Friday. The harm would have already been done," Tuju said.

They had sought to have Raila barred from threatening voters on election day.

Tuju was accompanied by former Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro, former MPs Ababu Namwamba (Budalangi) and Danson Mungatana (Garsen).
