Sirisia MP John Waluke has said he will personally protect residents who will be going to vote on Thursday.

The Jubilee legislator said he will ensure those voting are not harassed and intimidated by anyone.

"I am not only an MP but also a trained soldier and I will deal with those who will try to block anyone from exercising their constitutional rights in my constituency," he said on Sunday.

Opposition leader Raila Odinga has asked supporters to boycott the presidential election unless several demands, including the sacking of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba, are met.

But Waluke said as Jubilee county chair he will go round the constituency and county to ensure that the voting exercises is not interfered.

He warned that no one in Kenya has the powers to stop an election and dared those who wanted to do it to try in his constituency and see "fire".

"Voting will go on in Sirisia as planned and I dare challenge those who are planning to block people from exercising their right to try it they will know why a guinea fowl has no hair on its head," he warned.

He asked his electorates to wake up early in the morning and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Waluke regretted that the constituency had been neglected by the past regime.

"Sirisia had been neglected by the past governments since independence and is Jubilee government which has come to our rescue so let us elect it," he noted.

He warned the Mulembe community against following leaders who want to plunge the country into chaos.

Waluke said opposition leaders were out to see Kenyans fighting so that they can negotiate for power sharing.
