Nairobi has pushed the vetting of 10 CEC nominees to Monday and Tuesday next week, citing factors such as the need to look at public views.

"We need more time to peruse documents submitted by members of the public on the nominees," clerk Jacob Ngwele said on behalf of the Committee on Public Appointments.

The committee chaired by Speaker Beatrice Elachi was to vet the candidates on

Wednesday and Thursday.
