The Thirdway Alliance party has written to IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati seeking for an urgent meeting between him and its presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot.

Party secretary general Martin Gavole said they want the meeting to discuss the October 26 repeat election following the High Court direction to include Aukot in the ballot.

"After the successful petition by our President candidate, we want to meet IEBC and discuss the preparationss so far undertaken with regard to ensuring a free and fair Presidential election,” Gavole said in a letter dated Thursday.

“We also want to know of the measures taken by the Commission addressing the illegalities and irregularities that led to the annulment of the August 8 poll.” he added.

The High Court ruling gave a lifeline to all August 8 poll losers to take part in the repeat poll spoiling a NASA strategy.

IEBC said all the eight candidates will run in the repeat election,

Opposition chief Raila Odinga's political game plan to quit the polls was scuttled by the ruling that will likely to give President Uhuru Kenyatta an easy ride.

Raila has however not legally withdrawn as a candidate despite writing a letter of withdrawal to IEBC that was received and acknowledged, some experts said he needed to fill out a mandatory 24A form for withdrawal to be complete.
