The Lang'ata Women's Maximum Security Prison held "Peace One Day" on September 21.

The Prisons Department organised the event to educate the public about maintaining peace in the country, despite political differences.

It featured performances from The Red Acappella group, Jump the Rope Kenya, Kwach the police artiste and Lang'ata Women's Prison dancers.

Models from the prison showcased their dressing styles, then there was a cake-cutting to mark the day's occasion.

In attendance were corporate representatives, sponsors and friends of the prison.

Key guests included the prison's officer in charge Olivia Obell.
