President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto led hundreds of people, including family and friends, who turned up at Toot village in Keiyo South to bid farewell to veteran politician Nicholas Biwott as he was buried on Thursday at his home.

Uhuru and other dignitaries said the country had lost a great leader who stood firm and diligent and was always patriotic to his country.

Biwott was also eulogised as a generous man who helped many people across the country.

He died at the age of 77 after a long illness.
