NASA has lined up a two-week tour of the Coast and Eastern regions to consolidate votes ahead of the August 8 general election.

Co-principal Musalia Mudavadi (Amani National Congress) said on Monday that the tours will kick off in Isiolo town on Wednesday.

The campaign steering committee chairman said they will continue after the coalition's presidential flag bearer presents nomination papers.

Raila Odinga (ODM) is the National Super Alliance flag bearer while Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka is his running mate.

Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto (Chama cha Mashinani) and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) are also members of the NASA Pentagon.

After presenting his present papers to IEBC at KICC, Raila is expected to address a rally at the Jacaranda grounds, Nairobi.

According to the programme, the second phase of the campaigns will kick off in Nyeri during Madaraka Day celebrations on June 1.

The NASA principals will then launch official campaigns in Kakamega on June 3 and later head to Machakos on June 5.

The coalition is banking on votes from the two regions to tilt the outcome of the competition against Jubilee Party.

Jubilee is fielding President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto for the poll which has attracted a total of 18 candidates.

Whereas seven are sponsored by parties or coalition, the rest are seeking the top seat as independents.

On June 8, Mudavadi said the Opposition leaders will make stopovers at Garsen and Witu and later attend Iftar in Lamu and Mombasa,

ahead of the Holy month of Ramadhan.

Two NASA teams will be in Taita Taveta and Wundanyi on June 9 respectively.

The tour will end on June 10 with major rallies at Mtito Andei, Kamu, Kibwezi, and Wote.

The ANC leader was appointed

last week

to spearhead the coalition's presidential campaigns.
