Jubilee has cleared Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi to take part in the party's nominations next month.

This came as a relief for the legislator who is facing a charges of forging his academic papers.

Sudi allegedly

committed the crime during nominations for the March 4, 2013 general election.

But he told his constituents not to worry about his fate with regard to the August 8 poll.

"I am confident that I will overcome all the obstacles that have been placed on my way," the MP said on Sunday.

"I will overcome the forgery case," he also said and added that it was

a plot to curtail his political ambitions.

He spoke during the opening of a road linking Ngeria Prison to the Eldoret-Malaba highway.

The EACC said the legislator's diploma in business management and KCSE certificates were forged.

Sudi denied the allegations of forgery, providing false information and making a false declaration to public officers.

The MP was released on Sh300,000 bail pending trial at the Milimani anti-corruption court.

Sudi, once a matatu tout, wants to serve two terms as MP.
