Chief Justice David Maraga yesterday handed over his previous position of presiding judge at the Kisumu law courts to Justice Daniel Musinga.
He urged his successor to reduce the backlog of cases at the station.
Maraga was the presiding judge at the Kisumu law courts until his appointment as CJ on October 19.
Lawyers, judges and magistrates witnessed the handover.
Maraga urged judicial officers to serve citizens diligently.
