Governors’ wives visit Huruma families

Several wives of governors yesterday visited victims of the Huruma building collapse tragedy to condole with the bereaved families.

The Nairobi governor’s wife, Susan Mboya, said they are saddened by the tragedy, in which 51 people were killed and hundreds left homeless.

The rescue operation to save those trapped in the rubble was called off on Sunday.

Those who visited the victims at Huruma social hall were Nakuru governor’s wife Lucia Kinuthia, Esther Rutto (Bomet) and Sarah Tunai (Narok). Also present was Nairobi Deputy Governor’s wife Catherine Mueke. The women donated Sh200,000 and food.
