I expect to see the Citizens as well as Gunners celebrating victories this weekend

Manchester United Vs Aston Villa Today 5pm
My Prediction: The Red Devils 3-1 Aston Villa
Manchester United are the luckiest club in the world but they don’t know it. They have so many opportunities to move ahead in the league standings but they don’t seem to want to. Last week was difficult for them because there were Tottenham men against United boys; but a few weeks ago against West Brom and Sunderland; they threw away their three points without a care in the world. Correction: with all the care in the world. It means they are still standing outside the top four mansion; as the party inside continues. And it looks like it’s going to be like that for a while. Even if they win today, which they will, and Man City loses, they will still be 5th. Those school boys just can’t keep carrying the team on their shoulders but luckily Mzee Wayne Rooney is back! He played for their under 21s this week and will be eager to reclaim his front row position. Villa is gone, gone, gone! Their care-taker manager doesn’t know what to do; the players are demotivated; so as much as it pains to side with the Red Devils; they got this!

Chelsea Vs Manchester City Today 730pm
My Prediction: The Blues 1-3 The Citizens
Indeed this should have been the tie of the weekend but Chelsea are such an average team this term that it’s a giant versus a mid level team that happens to be defending champions. The Blues are really shaky right now. Just when we think that they are on the road to recovery, they go and lose to Swansea; as happened last week. Guus Hiddink has nothing to lose if he doesn’t get good results; except possibly another stint as a caretaker manager in another two years or so. I think with the announcement last week that Antonio Conte is coming in time for next season already has players and staff alike thinking of that time. There are players who know that they will be sold. Some have reacted by playing better in order to attract a new club while the others have no more loyalty for Chelsea and have stopped trying. Either way it makes for a very disjointed team. They looked lost against Swansea and that type of performance will do little to make the City stars sweat. City will use their Champion League momentum to ensure that Man United have no chance of clinching their 4th spot. Heck they are also still fighting to beat Arsenal to 3rd!

Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace Sunday 6pm
My prediction: The Gunners 3-0 Palace
Crystal Palace have lost one game in their last ten; against Norwich, so I don’t fear them in the least. Midweek they couldn’t even beat ten man Everton! Palace sit way down in 16th and just lucky. They appear just clear of the relegation zone; although mathematically they could still go down. That doesn’t seem to be motivating them at all. Arsenal meanwhile stumbled last week to draw 3-3 with West Ham and I must admit we were lucky to get a point there. It could have been worse. But that means our fight to finish above an on fire Spurs is now all that much harder. We have the players, we hopefully have the motivation and since we aren’t fighting for much else, the least we can do is finish second. Dull, but necessary.
