Former Kandara MP George Mwicigi has been buried in his home in Gatanga after he passed away on March 4.
The burial was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta, Muranga governor Mwangi wa Iria, Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa among other leaders.
Mwicigi served as Kandara MP for 15 years, between 1969-1979 and 1983-1989.
He also served as Assistant minister for Agriculture during the Moi era and is credited for water in Kandara constituency among other achievements.
He was married to Murang'a county nominated MCA Rebecca Mwicigi.
