Gunners are smelling first Premiership trophy since 2004 and Devils better be prepared

SEEKING REDEMPTION: Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil react during their 2-0 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Man United Vs Arsenal, Tomorrow 5:05pm,

My Prediction: Red Devils...1 Gunners...3

So Man United boss LVG accidentally started with teenager Marcus Rashford on Thursday after golden boy Anthony Martial got injured in training.

And it was the accident that lit up the Europa League match against FC Midtjylland with two goals in the 5-1 rout of the Danish Champions. So happy accidents are what is winning LVG games but there won’t be any happy ones for United tomorrow.

So the Red Devils are finally beginning to accidentally gel with twelve games to go but in terms of winning the league; that ship has sailed. I didn’t watch Thursday’s game because my body is yet to register that Thursday is a football match day that matters; but well done to my frenemies for getting a win.

But it won’t be so easy against the mighty Gunners. Arsenal were unlucky not to score even one goal against Barcelona but we did create many open chances. The fact that United won’t have their usual “wall” ie David de Gea is evidence that the balls will just be flowing into their goal.

Apart from Arsenal having the mighty Petr Cech in goal; the rest of the squad list doesn’t matter. It’s about who wants it more and right now; the Gunners can almost smell their first Premier League trophy since 2004 and we aren’t going to let a team like United spoil that.

Although a win for United would increase United’s chances of finishing 4th so I guess they too have something valuable to fight for; although finishing 5th would get them into Europa; a tournament I know they can win. Arsenal’s broke the jinx in the first leg and that 3-0 victory is still fresh on our minds and will boost our confidence. Let’s do this guys!

Liverpool Vs Man City, Tomorrow 7:30pm,

My Prediction: Reds...1 Citizens.....3

These are two teams that have both performed below par in the league this season; although I think Liverpool has improved on last season’s performance; but nonetheless both clubs should be doing better.

But I guess the league cup is the only realistic chance of both teams getting silverware this term; although City is still in the Champions League. But they have been losing silly league matches this term and none of them seem settled.

I don’t understand City’s performance though because they’ve had arguably one of the best squads throughout the season. Yes captain Vincent Kompany was injured for some time but they are City and they have quality cover. Kompany has been back though for at least one league match; but they still lost that game to Spurs. Before that, they lost against Leicester.

But they did turn things up a notch midweek when they beat Dinamo Kiev 3-1 in Ukraine; that must have been tough. As much as Liverpool have experience in Cup tournaments; I don’t think Jurgen Klopp has found a permanent winning combination among the players he has.

That’s why they’ve been winning one game; then losing the next, drawing the next and so on this season. Mr Kieni Githinji, I empathise; but pole, Manuel Pellegrini has to leave at least something when he leaves the Etihad in May.
