5-Minute-Interview: I adore my family, I'd climb the Himalayas for them

I am good at……. keeping promises and modelling, which is my passion. I give it my best.

I am very bad at….. keeping time. I get late to almost everything.

The last book I enjoyed reading is... Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. It taught me that everything you do is absorbed by others and affects them either positively or negatively.

The most surprising thing that happened to me is….. having my little dream become a reality. The dream of becoming a beauty queen.

A common misconception about me is….. that I am a snob. I don't know at what circumstance I'd be egotistical. I just have to know a person for them to realise it’s all wrong.

One of my worst childhood fears was…. lizards and all reptiles. They freak me out even now.

My ideal night out is…… deep in the wild in a cool environment, cool weather and nice music in the background immediately after sunset. Good food and a glass of wine with someone who means the world to me.

In another life, I'd have been……. a mermaid. I've always wondered if it's only in the fairy tales.

The best age to be is... 22, the age you realise the real reason you are alive and put that into practice.

If I was a politician I would….. make simple promises just so that  fulfilling them would be easy.

The best part of my job is….. that I get to be exactly who I am without faking any bit of it.

My greatest regret is…. I sometimes make irreversable decisions that affect me later on. Everyone has regrets.

Historical figure I most identify with…. Wangari Maathai, the founder of the Green Belt Movement. I have a project on environmental conservation and I intend to follow in her footsteps.

Living person I most admire is…. media personality, tv host and news anchor Victoria Rubadiri. She is just simple and her English is perfect.

My lowest point of misery was…… when I lost someone who was so important to me. Life took a different course.

My greatest achievement is…. being a role model to young girls in Tharaka Nithi and conserving the environment through my initiative Stay Green Campaign. I aim at planting one million trees in Tharaka Nithi.

My greatest possession is….. my family. I'd climb the Himalayas for them. With all their flaws, I adore them.

If I was to die in five minutes my last words would be... I'm sorry mum for being stubborn my whole life.

Jude Riziki is a model and an environmentalist. She represented Tharaka Nithi in Miss World Kenya finals in 2015. She has launched the Stay Green Campaign to plant one million trees.
