Veteran actor Kabir Bedi married his long-time girlfriend Parveen Dusanj on January 15 in an intimate ceremony. However, actress Pooja Bedi, who is Bedi's daughter from his first marriage with dancer Protima, was rather straight-forward with her comments on Facebook.
The 45-year-old actress-turned-columnist wrote:
Every fairy tale has a wicked witch or an evil step~mother! Mine just arrived! @iKabirBedi just married @parveendusanj .
Bedi, who celebrated his 70th birthday a day after his wedding on January 16, said: "I wish to thank every single person who has loved me, wished me, supported me and wanted the best for me. I hope I live up to their expectation and believe me the best is yet to come," he added.
Clearly he didn’t think it important to seek his volatile daughter’s blessings at all.
By the way, the tweet, in which Pooja jokingly described the new Mrs Bedi as an 'evil stepmother,' has now been deleted and this disclaimer posted in its place:
Deleted the last tweet on my dad @iKabirBedi 4th marriage. Lets keep things positive. I Wish him the best !!!
She had clearly meant her comment to be congratulatory but it appears that not everyone got it.
These guys should call a meeting at home to sort their domestic affairs before going on social media with all this nonsense.
Bitter ex-Sunjay blames Karishma for gold-digging
One of Bollywood's most controversial divorce cases, that of, businessman Sunjay Kapur and former actress Karisma Kapoor just turned murkier. While the two of them recently withdrew their divorce by mutual consent, the case took an ugly turn with the beginning of a new blame game. Sunjay Kapur accused Karisma Kapoor of being a gold digger which has obviously angered her father Randhir Kapoor.
Reportedly, Sunjay Kapur recently filed a petition for divorce with Karisma Kapoor that stated that the actress married the former only for his money. Claiming that the marriage was a rebound after her break up with actor Abhishek Bachchan. Sunjay further mentioned in the statement that Karisma used their kids as a means to claim money from his family which led to further disagreements between the two over the trust that was to be set up by Sunjay for the benefit of their kids Samaira and Kiaan. Prior to this, when Sunjay and Karisma decided to withdraw their case of divorce by mutual consent, the former's lawyer claimed that the two did not agree to the terms and conditions set for the trust by Sunjay for the benefit of their kids.
Reacting to these allegations directed towards his daughter, veteran actor Randhir Kapoor clarified that they being 'the Kapoors' need not run after anybody for money as they are capable of looking after themselves. The accusations got dirtier as Sunjay also alleged that Karisma was not a good mother, wife or daughter-in-law. A miffed Randhir Kapoor came out in support of his daughter and accused Sunjay of staying with another woman. While he expressed that truth will prevail, he also added that he was against the marriage from the onset.
