US firm to handle Tatu City power

US company Power Engineers Inc have been picked as Tatu City's consultants for its power requirements.

Management of Tatu City, a mixed-use development project, said Power Engineering is well suited for the job  having serviced clients such as the World Bank, US Trade and Development Agency and Inter-American Development Bank.

Real estate investors have expressed strong interest in the project, with more than 60 per cent of plots in Tatu City’s first residential phase, Kijani Ridge, sold.

Tatu Industrial Park recently announced that global consumer giant Unilever will build a manufacturing facility within its 420-acre light industrial zone, following in the footsteps of companies such as Dormans, Kim-Fay and Maxam that are moving from Nairobi’s congested Industrial Area to Tatu City.
