Chelsea Vs Everton, Today 6pm,
My Prediction: Blues...1 Toffees... 3
This is tricky! Chelsea are continuing with their bogus season. They gave away the lead twice to settle on a 2-2 draw with West Brom midweek despite having a far superior line-up. Guud Hiddink is not managing to uplift them much and I am confident that the Blues will finish the season in page two.
I don’t believe Hiddink is planning to buy any players because he doesn’t need any. Talent isn’t what’s lacking in Chelsea; it’s a winning spirit. Everton meanwhile are on fire! They may not have scored in their midweek match but they manage to hold title chasers Manchester City to a goal-less draw.
Goalkeeper Tim Howard was superb and he will easily deal with Chelsea’s lukewarm attack. I actually expect the Toffees attack to give Chelsea such a hard time. Stamford Bridge is no longer a fort and those walls won’t protect Abramovich’s babies this time around.
Liverpool Vs Man United, Tomorrow 5:05pm,
My Prediction: Reds... 3 Red Devils....1
If Liverpool attack this game the way they played against Arsenal on Wednesday, then Manchester United stand no chance. The Reds were on fire with Brazil’s Roberto Firmino going crazy in front of goal.
He is a spectacular player and I’m sure LVG will be wondering how he didn’t sign him before the Anfield club. Just like Arsenal, Liverpool’s back line let them down midweek but since the Red Devils are known for shooting blanks this season; they won’t trouble them much.
Okay so United may have scored three against Newcastle you say; but two of those were penalties; and Newcastle are in the relegation zone for Pete’s sake! If the regular 2015/16 Man United turns up and the regular 2015/16 Liverpool arrives then pole to the Manchester club. In fact let me just put my money on Liverpool right now!
Stoke City Vs Arsenal, Tomorrow 7:15pm,
My Prediction: Stoke ...1 Gunners...3
I don’t like celebrating a player’s injury because it isn’t sportsman-like; but when it increases our chances of winning our first league title in more than a decade; what the heck! Stoke City’s golden boy Xherdan Shaqiri has a hamstring problem and will miss this game.
I wish him well but we can’t deny that it will make it easier for the Gunners to walk away with the three points. Arsenal were lethargic against Liverpool midweek but our mental strength allowed us to at least walk away with a draw against a fiery Reds outfit.
Arsenal were lucky to get that draw but the sign of champions is to get a result even when you’re at your worst. Of course the celebration about the arrival of Mohamed Elneny from Basel is still on but I don’t expect him to make an immediate impact.
Fans must be patient and allow him to settle into the pace of the Premier League and I’m confident that he will. I think Manager Arsene Wenger will still have to rely on Mathieu Flamini or Mikel Arteta in that DM position for this game but I think we’ll manage.
Our defence needs to wake up and I think the shock of giving up two points against Liverpool will ignite the Gunners fire. We’ll win this one hands down!
