President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence to the family of long serving athletics Kenya President Isaiah Kiplagat.
In a statement sent to newsrooms Wednesday, Uhuru said his thoughts and prayers are with Kiplagat's family, relatives and friends.
“May God give you the strength and grace to bear the loss”, the statement read in part.

Kiplagat died on Wednesday morning after a long illness.
Family members confirmed that the former President of Athletics Kenya and former Managing Director of Post Bank passed on at 10.30am at his Nairobi home.
Kiplagat has been unwell for years, but his condition became worse in the last four months.
