Two suspected thugs shot dead in foiled Nairobi CBD robbery

Two suspected thugs were killed on Wednesday after police thwarted their attempt to steal from Milano hotel along Ronald Ngala Street in Nairobi.

Police said they were tipped off by members of the public

on Tuesday evening about

four people believed to have been planning to steal from stalls on the street.

"We trailed the suspects and caught up with them at 6am. Two escaped but we are still pursuing them," Nairobi OCPD Paul Wanjama told the Star.

A pistol and bullets were found, he said, adding the suspects had

been attacking residents of

Shauri Moyo, Ronald Ngala street and River Road.
