Shakhtar’s Teixeira talks up Chelsea interest

Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira has spoken about the Premier League and Jose Mourinho in glowing terms after revealing that Chelsea have expressed an interest in signing him.
The prolific midfielder has scored 23 goals in as many games for the Ukraine side this season leading to speculation that he is a target for the misfiring English champions - who have struggled for goals amid a deteriorating relationship between Mourinho and Diego Costa.
Speaking to Lance!, the 25-year-old admitted he has had contact from Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus, although his preferred move would be to the Blues.
“My agent said that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG have made proposals, but Chelsea and Juventus are deeper in negotiations. They are three big clubs. Wherever I go, I’ll be happy,” he said.
Teixeira added that it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, which he branded  ‘the best championship in the world’ before heaping praise on Chelsea’s Portuguese manager.
He described Mourinho as the ‘world’s best coach’ and said: :I think I would learn a lot from him. I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success in his side.”
“I read an interview he gave where he said he was keeping an eye on my football, and had sent scouts to watch me.”
However, the former Vasco Da Gama attacking midfielder said that a move during the winter transfer window was unlikely.
“I believe it is very difficult for it to happen in January because it is in the middle of the championship,” he said. “Shakhtar have said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season, but I’m keeping a clear head.”
“Only God knows what will happen tomorrow,” he said. “I have two more years of contract with Shakhtar. I’ve been here so far, working with my team.”
