Shah Rukh Khan rings in his 50th birthday in style

Shah Rukh Khan turned 50 on November 2 and his team made sure no expense was spared to make it resemble a larger than life celebration similar to his blockbuster movies.

He even took time to greet the legion of fans who had flocked outside his bungalow in Bandra, Mumbai.

He had his celebrations at a five-star hotel near the lawns of Mannat. King Khan arrived a couple of hours late but made sure the entire media fraternity was thoroughly entertained during his prolonged absence. From stand-up comedian Nitin Mirani entertaining the audience with his spontaneous wisecracks to DJ Chetas playing on his hit remixes, the built-up to Shah Rukh Khan’s 50th celebration was truly entertaining.

Finally, in true King style, SRK made a blockbuster entry swaying to the tunes of his popular numbers wearing shades and sporting his now trademark beard. Downplaying the significance of birthday being a special day, SRK said that he looked at it like a normal day and spent a quiet time with close family members.

Asin to tie the knot with Rahul

Can you hear wedding bells in the distance? For Asin is reportedly getting married to Micromax founder Rahul Sharma on November 26, in Delhi. The All Is Well actress, who met Delhi based industrialist Rahul via her Khiladi 786 co-star Akshay Kumar, will get married in a “private and closely guarded” ceremony in November.

The big revelation comes from The Times of India, which quotes a source as saying: “Asin and Delhi-based entrepreneur Rahul Sharma’s wedding will take place on November 26 at a hotel on NH8 in Delhi.”

The intimate ceremony will be followed by a reception at West End Greens, the same venue where Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput also got married in July, 2015 as reported by The Times of India.

The duo will also have a bash in Mumbai either on November 28 or 29 with Asin’s friends from the industry. The report continues to state that: “Preparations for the wedding have already started with the couple’s active participation.”

Asin, who had managed to keep her love life under wraps until August 2015, finally opened up in an interview earlier and said:

“Rahul and I have been together for almost four years. I will get married by the end of the year.”

It appears that the actress, who has seven Hindi films to her credit since she joined Bollywood in 2008, would prefer concentrating on her personal life and would quit movies, either forever or temporarily. Hear it from the horse’s mouth: “I have been working from the age of 14 and as of now, I am not taking up anything and will definitely take a break from films.”

Asin was last seen in All Is Well which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak.
