Navratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga. The word Navaratri means ‘nine nights’ in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine andratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Devi are worshipped.
Navratri is an important major festival and is celebrated all over India and Nepal.
The Pattni Brotherhood on October 20 celebrated the festival at the Premier Club along Forest road. It was a huge turnout where devotees dedicated the night to dancing, worship and partaking in shared meals.
