5-minutes-interview: I make my home beautiful for my kids and myself

I’m good at..........hosting parties. Once in a while I enjoy entertaining and organising parties for friends and family.

I’m very bad at..........keeping time. But I am working on getting better.

The last book I enjoyed reading is..................I read fashion magazines. I don’t have time to finish a novel.

A common misconception of me is.............I am strict since I have a loud voice and I'm a straightforward person. I am the exact opposite.

One of my worst childhood fears was...............heights. I was scared of falling off a building.

My ideal night out is............going to a good restaurant with good food, good red wine and good company.

In another life I would have been.........a housewife. I feel like I don’t spend enough time with my eight-year-old son and 18-year-old niece.

If I was a politician I would...........concentrate on the disadvantaged. I don’t understand why in this day and age there is starvation.

The best age to be is...............in your 30s. You know what you want out of life and are also in control of your life.

The best part of my job is..............mingling with clients, tackling issues and solving them. It is flexible and I'm able to balance between work and social life, plus I can enjoy the services being offered while still keeping an eye on the business.

My greatest regret is..................not venturing into self-employment earlier. It is getting harder and more expensive to open more salons and spas.

Historical figure I most identify with..............anti-apartheid hero and former South African President Nelson Mandela. He was in prison for 27 years and despite his struggles, he still forgave and worked towards uniting his country to end inequality and racism.

Living leader I most admire..........US President Barack Obama. He faces so many challenges and he makes it look so effortless. His trip to Kenya made me admire him more.

My greatest possession is...........my home. I have made it into a beautiful place for the kids and myself. I find peace at home. My business is also one of my biggest possessions as I built it from scratch and have seen it grow over the years to where it is at currently and I wait to see what the future holds.

If I was to die in five minutes, my last words would be................It’s been real, see you and to my son, Mummy loves you.
