Tottenham Vs Liverpool Today 2:45pm

My Prediction: Spurs... 1 Reds.....2

In 163 meetings, Liverpool have one up on Spurs. The Reds have won 77 of those games, drawn 39 and lost 47. But these stats really mean little because teams have been at different times of development during each meeting.

That said; in recent times, Liverpool still have the upper hand. They have won their last five Premier League meetings with score lines like 5-0; 4-0 and 3-0. So psychologically, Tottenham have an uphill battle if they are to get a result here.

This season, however, both teams have three wins under their belts although Spurs have just one loss while Liverpool have two. Christian Eriksen is the man to watch at Spurs while in the Liverpool camp, all eyes will be on new manager Jurgen Klopp.

Already the German has said he wants to see “more bravery” in his squad so the guys need to hit the ground running. There will be renewed energy in the Scouser camp and possibly that will keep Liverpool riding high on top of the London club.

Chelsea Vs Aston Villa, Today 5pm

My Prediction: The Blues 1-1 The Villagers

Haiya! Jose Mourinho still has a job! Chelsea are clearly having their worst season in a yonks!

They are currently 16th in the standings with just two wins in eight games. It’s hard to believe they are the defending champions. Mourinho was fined this week for whining about refereeing, something he says was unfair.

However, replays have shown that Mourinho was in actual fact wrong and the move he thought deserved a penalty was a dive. So he deserved the fine and is lucky that is all he got. He should really concentrate more on improving his team’s performance rather than complaining of unfair treatment.

So many clubs are victims of unfair treatment but they get on with the football. Luckily for Mourinho though, Aston Villa is actually doing much worse than they are.

Villa have won one game this term and drawn one. The other six have ended in defeats. However, the Villagers may see a win against the champions as something that could get their season started.

Tim Sherwood’s job is also at risk and a result at Stamford Bridge could just save his job for him. I don’t believe I have said that in a tie like this, but these teams look pretty even going into this game.

Everton Vs Man United, Today 5pm,

My prediction: Toffees 2 Red Devils 2

When I think of this fixture, the result 4-4 can’t help but dwell on my mind. Yes that haunting result that saw Manchester United lose the league to Manchester City several years ago.

Everton have lost just one game this season; against the in form team Manchester City. But who can forget their convincing 3-1 drubbing of Chelsea earlier this term.

Romelu Lukaku is in fine form while we all know that Steven Naismith can be a serious scoring machine when he wants to be.

They will go into this game with no fear knowing that they have the Goodison Park faithful behind them. Man United will be eager to get the 3-0 loss to Arsenal behind them.

That was probably their most painful game of the season and they’ll need a convincing victory here to get their minds off that loss.

Wayne Rooney will be going back to his boyhood club wishing he was in better form. But we all know that Rooney can bring some magic to any game if the mood is right.

Their new golden boy Anthony Martial has had a pretty impressive international outing and will be hoping to replicate that form for his club. This is going to be a tough and very eventful game. Tough to predict so I’ll go for all squared.

Watford Vs Arsenal, Today 730pm

My Prediction: Watford...0 Gunners...3

Should I really bother with this fixture given that Watford haven’t beaten Arsenal since 1988.

Yes! The two teams have met five times this century and Arsenal have won all those games. Right now, the Gunners are second while Watford are 12th with just two wins this season.

The Gunners had an impressive international break and I can’t wait for the boys to return to club duty.

That 3-0 win is still fresh on our minds although we will need to refocus on continuing to secure valuable points in every game.

I won’t even dwell on this game though because it will be like a walkover if manager Arsene Wenger plays his first team.

If he underestimates the opposition and plays a second string team then Arsenal could find itself in trouble. I trust Wenger will be smart today.
