Newcastle Vs Arsenal Today 2:45pm

My Prediction: The Magpies 1-3 The Gunners

What is Newcastle? OK let me stop being rude and show some respect to the team that wouldn’t let the Red Devils walk all over them last weekend.

Steve McClaren’s side are yet to win a game this season but just like their opponent’s today, they’ve lost one. They have two key players returning for this game, midfielder Moussa Sissoko may return from a groin problem, while Daryl Janmaat is available after serving a ban last weekend. But they are meeting a Gunners side that needs to seriously get their league campaign on track.

After a loss a win and a draw, it’s time for Arsenal to score a couple of goals and get a couple of wins under her belt. We are playing well for most of each game played but we still lack that sharp shooter.

We don’t have a goal scoring machine so once again we’ll have to rely on the goals coming from the midfield. Luckily Aaron Ramsey is working hard, and so is Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla, but they’ll have to be more on target for us to really see some Gunners goals in this game.

Manager Arsene Wenger, please accept that Olivier Giroud will not win us titles and start Theo Walcott in this game instead. Yeah Giroud will win us some games, but not titles and that’s a fact! But I do think we can handle Newcastle.

Chelsea Vs Crystal Palace Today 5pm

My Prediction: The Blues 2-2 Palace

Chelsea got their first win of the season last weekend but of course Jose Mourinho isn’t a happy man yet. I think even he can’t believe that the champions are languishing down in 10th; with just four points from three matches.

Unprecedented for champions and very unprecedented for Mourinho. The Portuguese tactician’s ego is so bruised right now particularly because he knows he has a good team but can’t quite figure why it’s not winning games.

They did however get their first win of the season last weekend against West Brom but conceding two goals will still have worried him. Crystal Palace on the contrary have won two of their opening games and sit pretty in fifth.

Their one loss of the season though is to Arsenal. This is yet another London Derby which is unpredictable but Mourinho will not want to be humiliated at home again. Palace won’t be an easy team to beat but this will be a good one.

Liverpool Vs West Ham Today 5pm

My Prediction: The Reds 2-2 The Hammers

Dear Liverpool. The Arsenal were beaten by West Ham on the opening day of the season so do not take them for granted. Actually because I don’t want the Reds to win as I see them more of a threat throughout the season, please do take The Hammers for granted.

Clearly West Ham aren’t afraid of playing away as that win over Arsenal was at Emirates Stadium, though it was a London derby with many Hammers fans in attendance anyway. But Anfield is a whole other ball game!

We know how the Scousers turn up for their team and the way Liverpool are performing, there’s every reason for them to feel confident. I was actually rather impressed by Liverpool’s form against Arsenal and I think that overall they will be a force to reckon with this season.

Christian Benteke may not have been worth all the money they paid, but he’s no pushover. He’s strong and sharp and he’s obviously eager to let all his critics know that he is a valuable player.

Petr Cech was the difference at Emirates on Monday. The Reds also have other players who are turning up for the club in each game; and it was probably good that the Steven Gerrard era ended when it did.

Players are eager to shine in a club that has always only had one Prince. But like I said; underestimate West Ham at your own risks my friends.

Swansea Vs Manchester United Sunday 6pm

My prediction: The Swans 1-0 The Red Devils

Was it last season or the one before the Man United lost their opening game of the season to Swansea? I just thought I’d throw that fond memory into this paragraph. Swansea did two weeks ago what Man United couldn’t last weekend. They beat Newcastle convincingly.

Their opening game of the season was also impressive, drawing 2-2 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. So they won’t be a pushover. Man United, like every other team are struggling to get their season to a winning flow.

Some would say that United’s crushing of Club Bruges would motivate them but we all know that Bruges aren’t exactly “competition” for a top English club.

United will sober up tomorrow when they travel to Swansea. These mid level clubs aren’t taking anything lying down and are fighting against even the best.
