Are Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty the next stars of Bollywood?

Film superstar Salman Khan says he is not worried about the box office fate of his home production Hero as his focus is to make its lead actors Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty the next stars of Bollywood.

Salman is launching Suniel Shetty's daughter and Aditya Pancholi's son in the upcoming film Hero. "I am sacred. Suniel and Aditya are good friends. I have the responsibility of these two kids. We are not worried about the fate of the film but that we project them in a way so they become stars, be accepted and appreciated," Salman told Times of India.

"We did not think about the budget for this film. They need support. Pray for them to become superstars. They have the potential, " he said.

Hero is a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1983 film of the same name, which starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri in the lead roles. The remake version directed by Nikhil Advani is scheduled for release on September 11.

Deepika Padukone not offered film with Hrithik

Actress Deepika Padukone has denied being offered a YRF film opposite actor Hrithik Roshan.

There were speculations that Yash Raj Films' next untitled project, to be directed by Dhoom 3 helmer Vijay Krishna Acharya, would star Hrithik and Deepika. Later, there were reports that she opted out of the film.

"I was not offered the Yash Raj Films' movie. I read reports that I even walked out of the film. I don't understand that if I am not offered the film, how can I walk out of it," Deepika told reporters here at an event.

Meanwhile, Deepika will be seen romancing former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha. The onscreen appearance of the ex-couple was applauded by everyone in their previous film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Ranbir and Deepika have finally wrapped up the shooting for Tamasha.

There are some pictures showing the lead couple holding hands by the sea. "I won't call them posters as they are looks from the film that are coming out. I think the response has been very positive and in the next month or so, the trailer, poster will be out. What you all have seen is the working stills, not really the poster," Deepika said.

Tamasha will hit the screens on November 27.

Aamir Khan Visits Rajkumar Hirani in Hospital, Says He's 'Doing Fine'

Actor Aamir Khan visited his PK director Rajkumar Hirani in hospital and has issued a health bulletin on Twitter saying the 52-year-old filmmaker is much better. Hirani was taken to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital early on Tuesday after falling off a motorbike. He suffered a fractured jaw and a gash on the chin.

Hirani, who is believed to have been in ICU for a while, had no life-threatening injuries.

A hospital official told news agency IANS: "He is getting discharged. He is absolutely fine and nothing serious." Hirani is believed to have been riding a new Royal Enfield Bullet owned by one of his employees. He was riding at a low speed but couldn't manage the weight and fell.

Rajkumar Hirani's last film was the blockbuster PK, starring Aamir and Anushka Sharma, which released last year. He also made 3 Idiots and the Munna Bhai films, all hugely successful.

Shah Rukh Khan Wanted to be a Software Engineer

Last October, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan told the hooting crowd at the Googleplex that he wanted to be a software engineer, not an actor. "No, really. I look stupid but I'm not, I'm really intelligent. I did electronics and got 98," SRK told the disbelieving Google crowd. He took the IIT entrance exam, even. "Those were the days of diodes and triodes, not chips and things."

SRK, now pushing 50, convinced at least one person at Google - Sundar Pichai, the new Google CEO, who told the actor to let him know if he wanted to switch careers.

SRK, who participated in a 30-minute chat with Sundar Pichai at Googleplex, was promoting his film Happy New Year. On his way to the chat, he was ambushed by a Google flash mob dancing to the song Indiawale from Happy New Year. As Mr Pichai tells it, SRK promptly joined the dancers.
