West Ham aim to renew Jenkinson loan

West Ham will look to renew right-back Carl Jenkinson’s loan deal from Arsenal next season, rather than moving for their former defender Glen Johnson.
The 23-year-old made 36 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers last term, helping them to secure a solid 12th placed finish the Premier League.
He has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at his parent club and could be tempted into another spell at Upton Park.
Johnson, meanwhile, who began his career at West Ham, before signing for Chelsea in 2003, has just been released by latest employers Liverpool.
A number of clubs are monitoring his situation, including Besiktas who have already tabled a lucrative two-year contract, worth £2.3million (Sh345.2m) per season in wages.
Since making his debut in 2003, he has gone on to win 54 senior caps for England and made the squads for both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
