The Nairobi Chamber Chorus hosted a concert featuring a mix of Classical, Negro spiritual and Zilizopendwa hits at the Sankara Hotel, Nairobi on Tuesday evening. It was held to raise money for the Chamber Chorus which will be travelling to perform to Spain on July 9.
Conducted by the founder Ken Wakia, the concert raised Sh3.25 million that was needed to cater for the trip. The biggest contributor on the evening was CFC Stanbic bank with a Sh3 million donation.
In attendance at the event were former Attorney General Charles Njonjo, British High Commissioner Christian Turner and Kents and Kents group director Penny Musengi.
