Yogi Maharaj born Jina Vasani, was a guru regarded as the fourth spiritual successor of Swaminarayan in the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha sect of Swaminarayan Hinduism.
Last Friday marked his 123rd birthday.
To commemorate this occasion, the BAPS Shri SwaminarayanMandir hosted grand celebrations at the BAPS Centre on Forest Road in Nairobi.
It was dedicated to children who were close to yogi’s heart. Performances included specially crafted stage dramas depicting the incidents in the life of Yogi Maharaj.
After performances and speeches the community was served a grand dinner.
