Kunal and Naina wed in a grand ceremony

Suave and dapper Kunal Kapoor tied the knot with Naina Bachchan in a grand ceremony last week that was well attended by many Bollywood A-listers. Naina’s parents Ajitabh and Ramola Bachchan hosted the grand reception in Delhi after a small and intimate wedding that was held in Seychelles amidst very close family and friends.

Amongst the family who came to the reception were Naina’s cousin brother Abhishek Bachchan who look good in a black suit while his wife Aishwariya Rai Bachchan wowed in red. Mama Jaya Bachchan wore a gold sari and looked every inch the elegant aunt while superstar uncle Amitabh also came onto the stage to give his blessings to the newlywed couple. Hrithik Roshan was also seen at the reception and Abhishek shook more than a leg on the dance floor as he joined the Meet Brothers for a singalong.

Just Bollywood wishes the couple a happy married life.

No mobile phones please!

More and more filmmakers are banning the use of mobile phones on their sets during shooting just so that there are no leakages online as we have seen in the past. Do you remember when Akon’s Bollywood number was leaked online before the release of RaOne? Ok we had our doubts about that one and many may have brushed it off as a pre-release publicity stunt but you get the idea.

So while many stars are on social media and closer to their fans in terms of communicating, it seems like a lot of people aren’t satisfied with just that and yearn for more glimpses.

Here are some filmmakers who have completely banned the use of mobile phones on their sets for their forthcoming releases.

He has explicitly warned his staff and crew not to use their mobile phones on set of his historical film Mohenjo Daro and no family visits either. Hrithik Roshan who stars in the movie has been exempted from these rules but decided to abide by them on his own.

He is one man who is very secretive about his projects and has also made it a standard procedure to have high security in place. No crucial leaks for him as he films the project Fan with Shah Rukh Khan.

Quite the disciplinarian, Sanjay Leela Bhansali cuts no corners if the security of his projects is compromised. Phones were banned on set while filming Ram Leela and he forbade even Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh from using their phones. This came after a few images from the film were leaked online. Right now he is in the middle of working on a project with Priyanka Chopra, Bajirao Mastani, which is just as fiercely guarded, even Priyanka’s mother isn’t allowed on the set!

Leaked images from Dil Dhadakne Do were leaked and it left Zoya seething, so much so, she had an investigation done on set to find out who had leaked the pictures but all in vain. Security was immediately beefed up and a register is now maintained to keep track of who visits the studio premises. Cellphones? Banned, but of course!

Everyone is totally looking forward to Aishwariya Rai Bachchan coming back on the big screen post pregnancy and Sanjay Gupta, who is making Jazbaa with her wasn’t at all amused to see pictures of Ash’s looks styled especially for the movie, leaked online. The first thing he did was fire his security company and he too has the no phone policy on set.

Mika Singh in legal soup again, booked for physical abuse

On Monday, popular singer-composer Mika Singh was booked for physically abusing and assaulting a doctor at a live performance in Southern Delhi. Reportedly, the controversial singer lost his cool when the victim failed to act in accordance to his instructions for an activity in the middle of his performance. The incident happened at a three-day conference held by Delhi society of Ophthalmology.

Here’s what happened: The star asked a few volunteers from the audience to join him on stage for an impromptu activity to further liven up the celebrations. He then asked the mix of volunteers to stand separately in male and female queues. One of the volunteers apparently jumped the queue by mistake. Mika consequently howled at him and slapped him in front of all the attendees. He then asked his bouncers to throw him off-stage and take him away from his view.

The volunteer, a doctor along with other supporters of the Ophthalmology society, registered a protest against the inappropriate behaviour of the star. The police intervened at the right time assuring them that suitable action would be taken.

Kangana Ranaut took a bold step with Gangster and had a kissing scene with Emraan Hashmi. In an interview with Bombay Times, Kangana revealed that her father did not talk to her after watching the film because of the kissing scene, and even her grandfather sent her a message and asked her to drop the family name.
