If you want glamour from Bollywood siblings then Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor are your go-to girls. Part and parcel of the Kapoor dynasty, the girls have held their own ground with their acting skills and yes, glamour quotient, but we have never seen them together on the Silver Screen.
“People have offered us roles, but we need to get the right script,” Kareena, who is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, told IANS during her visit to the capital.
Karishma, who quit the industry in 2003 after her marriage, has dubbed for Kareena’s voice in film Bodyguard, but catching a glimpse of the two on the big screen together is yet to become a reality.
On the small screen, Kareena made an appearance on a reality TV show Nach Baliye to promote her film when her sister was judging the dance show.
Kareena said that the characters need to convince them to come on board. “We need to feel the parts. There is so much pressure that it has to be the right script,” she added.
Hopefully, a good script should come along their way and we will get to see the two sisters in one movie. After all, we are just dying for that, aren’t we?
Like father like son?
Aditya Pancholi’s (above) son may have been named as a suspect in Jiah Khan’s death but that was clearly not enough for this family to lay low. Why should they? After all, Aditya has always shown muscle when it has been needed.
He tried to show this same muscle at a party recently and got into trouble for his over-confident and cocky attitude.
The incident took place on Saturday night at the club ‘Trilogy’, where Aditya Pancholi had gone partying. The real ruckus began when he started demanding the DJ to play Hindi tracks instead of English songs. This went on to take shape of a brawl when a bouncer, who was escorting Aditya, was hit on his head by the latter with a mobile phone. The impact was so huge that the bouncer had to be admitted in the hospital and has now got around three stitches on the head.
Speaking about the incident, DO Jadhav (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Santacruz division) said that, post the incident (at around 12.30 am), Pancholi was immediately taken into custody by the Santacruz police post where he underwent the mandatory medical tests before being produced in court. Jadhav added that the medical reports confirmed that Pancholi was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
A holiday court on Sunday, then, remanded Pancholi in judicial custody. The current status is that, Pancholi is now out of custody after paying the bail amount of Rs.50,000.
Sussanne Khan rubbishes reports about new property
The ex-wife of Hrithik Roshan has rubbished reports that claimed that she has invested in a Rs1-crore property in Pune. Sussanne Khan is certainly not amused with these rumours flying around and has vehemently denied any such investment. “It is complete rubbish. I’ve bought no property in Pune.”
Sussanne has been in the public eye ever since her split with Hrithik. From the reasons for the breakup right down to how she might be coping post-separation have become public interest. She says her priority is to just get on with her life and her two sons are her focus.
Hrithik is still very much in touch with Sussanne’s side of the family and her parents duly supported their daughter when the breakup was announced and didn’t try and dissuade her decision.
“Her parents Sanjay and Zarine Khan only asked her if she was sure. Then they were with her all the way in her decision,” says the source, adding that all the loose talk of alimony and real-estate acquisitions embarrass Sussanne.
“She is not a material girl at all. She wants to provide a good life for her sons. But she doesn’t want Hrithik’s money,” says the source.
DID YOU KNOW?
Dilip Kumar (below) was one of the finest actors of his time. And it seems like he was very choosy about his onscreen appearances.
Kumar had refused to work with Nargis in Mother India. While the film became one of the most memorable ones in the history of Indian cinema, the actor had his own reasons for not being part of the film.
