Mehr Rampal cries as she leaves birthday party
Parties are meant for fun, music, great food, good company and a great time but it seems like Mehr Rampal wasn’t having an amazing time at director Abhishek Kapoor’s birthday bash that was attended by many Bollywood celebrities including Arjun and his wife Mehr.
It is said that Mehr left halfway through the party after a heated argument with her husband. She was apparently seen covering her face while on the phone with someone and her eyes gave away the fact that she had been crying.
Speculations have been rife that Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne parted ways because of Sussanne and Arjun’s closeness that eventually led to a separation. Both denied and rubbished the rumours but it seems like the rumours have resurfaced yet again.
Farhan rocking digitally
A live digital concert that is going to be staged at the stroke of midnight today on August 14 will have Farhan Akhtar on stage especially for his fans, as the Indian Independence Day is celebrated.
His fans all over the world can sign up and watch him live and the only charge to this concert is the minimal amount of Rs.1 (equivalent to Sh1.50). Since this update on the concert was given, there were at least 62,000 who had signed up for it within eleven hours.
Farhan has a huge fan following worldwide not just as an actor but a singer as well. The initiative is great to reach out to his fans most of who are the youth.
Farhan says, "It's my first online streaming performance, which will enable people to watch us perform online for just Re 1. I'm really looking forward to it."
So basically, if you have internet access you will be able to stream this concert online and enjoy it live. Of course in our case here in Kenya, besides just a good internet connection, I suppose electricity will also be an important requirement too!
SRK courts controversy yet again
What has he done this time, I hear you sigh. Well, the king of Bollywood who is known to court controversy is again in the limelight for shaking a leg with a woman constable during a Kolkata programme.
While SRK took it lightly, many have been rubbed the wrong way and now it has become a big deal. Shah Rukh Khan was criticised for disrespecting the uniform while dancing with the constable. In turn, SRK found the whole brouhaha ridiculous.
“It’s strange…four or five years back, I was shooting for Veer Zaara. At that time, I had danced with jawans in uniform. In the 60s and 70s, many actors performed in the border for the jawans to encourage them. For the first time, it’s not about the uniform, it’s about a lady inspector in uniform. This distinction between men and women is rubbish and silly. It should not be even talked about,” he said.
He has a point through. I think jobless people with too much time on their hands will create such news just to take focus away from things that really matter.
