People hug all the time but why does it become headlines when Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan hug? Their silent treatment is legendary and most of Bollywood fraternity have tried very hard to get them to patch up but both are adamant they will not make the first move to do something about it, if at all they really want to.
Last year during Ramadhan, the two met each other at an Iftar party and hugged and had tongues wagging that they were friends again and some had even gone to the extent of speculating that the two would do a movie again together but Nada. They were civil to each other and and after that, met again at an award ceremony where they were being nice to each other about their movies (Jai Ho and Chennai Express) and that was that.
Now they shot back into the headlines as they hugged again at MLA Baba Siddique’s Iftar party, greeted each other warmly and even posed for a picture. A bit of déjà vu from last year but we also know that Salman has a movie releasing at the end of this month towards Eid so maybe he could get SRK to promote it for him? No? Ok then!
Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor finally on social media!
Even my bosses, William Pike and Patrick Quarcoo, know the importance of being on social media (by the way I’ve always said Amitabh Bachchan is a doppelganger for William Pike but more on that later) so I wasn’t too overly impressed when Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor finally announced that they’ve jumped the bandwagon too.
It was in May 2012 when Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra marked their debut in Bollywood with Ishaqzaade. The two actors are doing great in terms of career and have a good fan following. However, it is this month that the duo have marked their debut in social media to keep connected with their fans.
Arjun at a recent event said: “It is very nice to be on twitter. I feel very happy that now my fans can follow my tweets and also its a great medium to connect with my fans.” Previously it was Arjun’s sister Anshula Kapoor that many Arjun fans followed as she updates many things about her brother including his pictures, but now we hope that his fans get to know Arjun directly.
Parineeti Chopra has made a facebook page and she was welcomed by the shahenshah of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. “I’m online now!!! Come chat with me now!!”, read the bubbly heroine’s status. Amitabh Bachchan posted:
@SrBachchan: @ParineetiChopra welcome ..chat with you later, on a flight now .. AND .. saw you get emotional on the Tv show.. hearing impaired boy!"
As for that story about doppelgangers, I promise to show you what I mean soon!
GAURI KHAN IS MAD!
Gauri Khan is mad! I’m not saying she belongs in an asylum. All I’m saying is that she’s very angry and upset over some rumours about her turning to drugs. Being SRK’s wife, she has never quite lost her identity. The very gorgeous, confident and secure Gauri Khan features on the cover of Hi Blitz! July 2014 issue, and we simply love all the glossy stills, her attitude and that new hairstyle, especially the bangs. But what we loved the most is her frank, straightforward and honest answers while in an interview for the magazine.
The wife of superstar Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan finds it very amusing when people talk about alleged trouble in her marriage. She says,“What people don’t understand is that when I hear what somebody has said about me I wonder, ‘Don’t you know what they are saying about you too? It’s quite amusing.”
And what’s the worst rumour she’s heard about herself? “That I’m on drugs... the most vile, disgusting rumour. It is the madness. I really don’t care. It doesn’t bother me,” Gauri says.
Talking about her relationship with SRK, Gauri says: “I think both husband and wife should have busy minds, not see too much of each other, but not too little either, just get it right. If both are healthy in their heads and satisfied with their day’s work, the partnership works. The downside of living with a celebrity is that his meetings are endless and he is terrible with timings. We’re always late for everything, so that bugs the S*** out of me.”
Meow! Of course it bothers you if you go ranting about it in a national magazine Gauri. Nothing wrong in admitting that you’re hurt, angry or upset.
