Preity Zinta lodges complaint against former boyfriend

Preity Zinta lodges complain against former boyfriend

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta who became an entrepreneur when she ventured into the IPL buying the Kings XI Punjab team with former boyfriend Ness Wadia has lodged a molestation complaint against Wadia.

Preity had been out of the city thus she could not file the complaint earlier. She launched her complaint with the Marine Drive police on Friday as soon as she returned to Mumbai.

Preity has mentioned in the FIR (First Incidence Report) that Ness was harassing her post their break up after five years together. During the match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Superkings Preity was in the Garware Pavillion at Wankhede stadium where Ness Wadia apparently pulled Preity’s hand and abused her in front of many people. Police has registered an FIR against Wadia but only after collecting evidence and witness statements will the police arrest Ness.

Meanwhile the Bombay dyeing heir, Ness Wadia has already issued a statement saying “This is indeed shocking to hear the allegations against me. These are totally false and baseless.”

Preity also decided to take to social media to make herself heard. She posted,

From my heart….

I may not be super wealthy and powerful but I have truth by my side and I’ve worked very hard all my life and tried to earn respect for myself as a self made professional. It saddens me that no one at work or around ever stood up for me in the past when i was abused and insulted publicly. This time I was left with no option but to take this stern step as this incident happened in front of way too many people.

Sometimes we are so ashamed and humiliated that we fool ourselves to believe that no one saw what happened . Everyone always looks away as if they don’t exist or then we don’t exist. People are embarrassed just enough to look away, but not too embarrassed to intervene.

Ironically what happened at Wankade is being diluted by every other fabricated story about my character except the truth of what happened. I’m sure the witnesses will speak the truth and i trust and believe that the police will do their job fairly and quickly.

No woman likes to be involved in a controversy like this which makes her open and vulnerable for all to take a dig at. I have worked for over 15 years in the film industry and have never been subject to such humiliating behaviour and for that I really want to thank all the men that worked with me. Through all our highs and lows my head was always held high.

Every human being has a limit to how much they can take ; some of us foolishly call it strength and try to look ahead focusing on the positives of work and life. All these years I have never said anything about him in the media but now I have no choice.

I humbly request the media and my supporters to pls focus on the issue and the incident that happened in Wankade and not turn this and me into a TV soap. This is not easy for me and my intention is not to harm anyone but simply to protect myself and to stand up for myself. I don’t want any sympathy from anyone but I will sincerely appreciate it if people do not try to take away my dignity in the process of my fight for respect at my workplace. I think after all these years I deserve it and I’m not asking for too much.

Thank you.

SALMAN KHAN UNVEILS FIRST LOOK OF KICK:

Salman Khan unveiled the much-awaited trailer of his upcoming film Kick at Gaiety Galaxy in Bandra, Mumbai. The event was also attended by the main members of the film including Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, director Sajid Nadiadwala and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

However, Dabangg Khan, who is known to liven up any event with his wisecracks and slightly unusual sense of humour was at his evasive best at the trailer launch. The Jai Ho actor remained tight-lipped about his character ‘Devil’. “I am not giving any details about the character. If I’d tell you about my character in the film, you will make assumptions. So, it’s better I keep it under wraps,” he said.

That’s not all. When asked about his views on the difficulty faced by his friend and former co-star Preity Zinta, who has filed molestation charges against her former boyfriend Ness Wadia, Salman ducked the question and chose not to comment.

RAKHI SAWANT BACK IN THE LIMELIGHT

After contesting the elections ( yes, you read right), item girl Rakhi Sawant is back in a new avatar. This time around, Rakhi has turned a film producer and also has a cause to fight for — respect for the LGBT community, who are the primary subjects of her debut production. The Marathi film is titled Jay Jaykar and has veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar in the lead.

Rakhi says angrily,“When a transgender is born, he is given away, they have the right to live too! I have met homosexuals and transsexuals throughout my career. My film will make you realise how we have never thought of them. Are they not human beings? They are treated badly. This film is my message to the citizens and will touch your hearts.”

“People may think that a movie that I produce will be full of masala. But this film has a beautiful message which makes me cry. At the same time, I would add that this is a completely commercial film.”

Jay Jaykar ran into trouble with the censor board over a couple of words, and Rakhi fumes,“The censor board is strange. There are so many Hindi films with outrageous abuses that go uncensored. Here, they were trying to create problems for a couple of words.” The problem rose over words used in context to the LGBT community but it has apparently been solved following a NOC from a registered LGBT association.

Rakhi insists that she has been a part of the film right since the first stage of its production but says she has been busy with her election campaign till some time back. When she decided to turn producer, she admits, she was tempted to make the film in Hindi. “I have been a part of Bollywood. When I wanted to get into production, the first thought was to do a Hindi film. However, then I thought over it. I am a Marathi girl and it was fitting to start with Marathi. After this, we are making a film in Bengali, Punjabi, Hindi and one even in Hollywood!”she says with typical grandiosity.

But Rakhi’s not just talk. Her next film is in Bengali and is already on the floors. It stars Prateik Babbar, Paoli Dam and Indraneil Sengupta.
