It looks like Bade Bhaiya is finally kicking off. Sooraj Barjatya has been waiting for Salman Khan for a very long time now, and things are finally falling into place for this film. The two are teaming up together after ages You may recall they delivered many hits together back in the day – and this time around Salman will play a double role. While the usual Rajshri films have family values and relationships at their core, this one will try and incorporate the changing times and therefore showcase a rebellious side of Salman.
Pre-production work on the film is already underway, and both the brothers will look very different from each other. Sonam Kapoor has finally bagged the female lead role, and she will be seen in something a little different for Rajshri – traditional, yet sexy. We will be bringing you more on this as it unfolds.
Ayushmann: I am not much of a footballer
While Ayushmann Khurrana has agreed to be a part of Shoojit Sircar's ambitious football film 1911 which Shoojit will make in mid-2014, Ayushmann candidly admits that he isn't much of a footballer and needs to learn the ropes of the game from his brother.
"My brother has this amazingly dramatic name Aparshakti. He is the real footballer of the family. He is as passionate about the game as Shoojit. I am not really into football. I've played football as a child. But I wouldn't say I can play the game well enough to look convincing while playing it on screen.
"I have requested my brother to spare some time to help me look like a footballer on screen. The problem is, he is much busier than I am. Besides being a passionate footballer Aparshakti is also a Radio Jockey and a theatre actor. He is also making his acting debut in a film titled Saat Uchakkeproduced by Neeraj Pandey. So I've to bend my time- table to suit his schedules. But it's finally worth it. Both John Abraham and Shoojit Sircar play football like professionals," said Ayushmann,
Total Siyappa – Ali Zafar’s interview with Riya Sharma, exclusive on East FM, Kenya’s Premier Asian Mix.
Total Siyapaa (earlier titled Aman ki Asha) is an upcoming Hindi romantic comedy film directed by E Nivas and written by writer of much-acclaimed films A Wednesday and Special 26 Neeraj Pandey. Film stars Chashme Baddoor, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Tere Bin Laden famed Ali Zafar and Vicky Donor famed Yami Gautam in lead roles. Veteran actor Anupam Kher and his real life wife and Veteran actress Kiron Kher are appearing together for the first time in a movie.
It’s a very unconventional title Ali. I believe it was changed to this from Aman Ki Asha. Would you know what the reason was?
Well, I think this subject suited the subject and the storyline more because Aman Ki Asha sounded like a very serious type of a film title while the film is a funny, hilarious, romantic comedy.
Can you tell me something more about the movie that we ordinarily would not have known? Maybe a sneak-peek?
As far as I can tell you there will be a lot of crackling scenes in the movie. Just be ready to go hysterical in the cinema and embarrass yourself when you’re going to watch it in the theatre. If you don’t have any problems like being looked at stared at when you’re laughing out loud and uncontrollably then just go watch this film.
What was it like working with Yammi Gautam?
She’s a wonderful co-star to work with and very decent and professional.
It’s also a film where we will see the real life couple Anupam and Kiron Kher on the screen for the first time. How was it working with them?
They’re senior veteran actors so you get to see and learn a lot more from them, very funny people on and off the screen.
Were there any Total Siyappa moments that you might have experienced while filming?
We shot the film for about 28 days so we were shooting from early morning to late night so there weren’t any real siyappas as such – it ran rather smoothly. Except one night when I was out shopping and it started raining and I had to run back because I got so drenched so that would be a Total Siyappa on my part!
