President William Ruto on Monday officially launched the upgrading of the Ichamara – Thangathi-Rutune – Kariuru- Kimathi/Mihuti-Rutune Maseno- River Sagana – Githuani-A2 Kariti Road in Nyeri.
The project will see the road network upgraded to a tarmac.
Ruto who is in Mt Kenya for a five-day working tour was accompanied by his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Also present were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga among other local leaders.
Ruto on Saturday embarked on an extensive tour of the region that will see him traverse Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Laikipia and Nyeri counties.
