[PHOTOS] Kenyans splurge on flowers for Valentine's Day

A day dedicated to celebrating love.

• At Alliance Girls High school, students were surprised with flowers and cakes  by their parents at the school in Kikuyu,Kiambu county. 

• This is the 3rd consecutive year the parents are celebrating Valentines Day with their daughters at the school.

Florists made a killing on Friday as Kenyans joined the world in marking Valentine's Day.

Many took to malls and stalls to buy flowers, chocolates and teddy bears for their loved ones.

At Alliance Girls High school, students were surprised with flowers and cakes  from their parents at the school in Kikuyu, Kiambu county.

This is the year the parents are celebrating Valentine's Day with their daughters at the school.
