American movie star Connie Britton in Kenya

Three-time Emmy nominee American actress and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Connie Britton is in Kenya.The actress, known for her roles in the TV series The West Wing and 24, is the country to raise awareness of UNDP’s work in poverty eradication and women empowerment. Britton has already toured some of the projects at the coast.

Three-time Emmy nominee American actress and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Connie Britton is in Kenya.

The actress, known for her roles in the TV series The West Wing and 24, is the country to raise awareness of UNDP’s work in poverty eradication and women empowerment.

Britton has already toured some of the projects at the coast.

She is currently starring in the ABC series Nashville and also starred opposite Michael J. Fox in five seasons of ABC’s award-winning comedy, Spin City, as Tami Taylor in Friday Night Lights, as Vivien Harmon on American Horror Story and the comedy feature This Is Where I Leave You.

In November 2011, Britton adopted a child from Ethiopia.

In April last year, she became the 10th Goodwill Ambassador of the UNDP, the anti-poverty agency of the UN, joining celebrities such as Antonio Banderas, Maria Sharapova, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo in the role.
