- Raila has maintained that the protests will go on until the Head of State heeds their demands.
Vihiga residents took to the streets on Tuesday to demonstrate against the high cost of living as they chanted anti-President William Ruto slogans.
The demonstrators believed to be from within Mbale town crippled transport activities along Kakamega-Kisimu Highway.
This comes after the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga asked his supporters to protest against the Ruto regime from May 2.
This is the second time anti-government protests are taking place in Vihiga county.
Mass action protests in the country began on March 20.
Raila has maintained that the protests will go on until the Head of State heeds their demands.
"We want him (President William Ruto) to lower the cost of living, check into CBC problems, IEBC recruitments, and end tribal appointments in government," Raila said in previous statements.
