The Vihiga assembly held their first sitting on Tuesday to constitute the house leadership.
The sitting was chaired by newly elected speaker Chris Omulele.
Tambua MCA Karega Mboku of ODM was picked as the leader of majority.
Mboku initially contested for the deputy speaker position but lost to Gisambai MCA Eric Odei. He got 15 votes against Odei who got majority votes.
Mboku is set to use his political experience to lead the house for the next five years as the leader of majority.
He will be deputised by Banja MCA Collins Ayugu who is also serving a second term.
Wodanga MCA Vincent Atsiaya will be leading the minority camp under the ANC party. He will be deputised by Paul Ananda Tiira of Central ward.
In an official communication by the speaker, Omulele said the house also nominated Central Maragoli MCA Pauline Amwata as majority whip.

The speaker later congratulated both coalitions for coming up with the House leadership.
This was the first sitting after the members took their oath of office. The House stood adjourned till October 12 at 9.30am.
